2010 Field Trip Rules

Free main-entrance-admission Field Trips to the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition® are available to pre-school, kindergarten, elementary and middle school students in both the public and the private schools. Field Trips are held during in-school hours in order for students to view their exhibits and those of fellow classmates. NO ADVANCE RESERVATIONS ARE NECESSARY - BUT ONLY THOSE SPECIFIC GRADE LEVELS SCHEDULED ON SPECIFIC DATES (SEE SEPARATE LISTING) WILL BE ADMITTED. NO EXCEPTIONS!

PUBLIC SCHOOL REGULATIONS:

Select the days your region and grade can be admitted.
Teachers and chaperones (one for every ten students) must be on the buses with the students.
Buses must have 8” X 10” region ID and school name in the front window.
Chaperones may not bring other siblings/guests (NO PRIVATE CARS WILL BE ALLOWED INTO PARK). NO STROLLERS ALLOWED.
For safety reasons, NO BACKPACKS will be allowed at The Fair on field trips.

PRIVATE SCHOOLS REGULATIONS:

Region requirements do not apply. Only grade levels.

For safety reasons, NO BACKPACKS will be allowed at The Fair on field trips except for Exceptional Day. BUS TRANSPORTATION IS EACH PARTICIPATING SCHOOL’S RESPONSIBILITY. FIELD TRIP HOURS ARE FROM 9:00 AM TO 1:00 PM DURING WHICH TIME The FairTM IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.

Pre-School, Kindergarten and
Grades 1 - 3:
April 6, 2010 (ALL Regions)
9:00 am - 1:00 pm

ONLY KIDDIELAND AND OTHER SELECTED RIDES ARE OPEN ON THE MIDWAY. ENTERTAINMENT SHOWPLACES ARE CLOSED. ALL OTHER AREAS ARE IN OPERATION. (No private cars allowed in park) For safety reasons, NO BACKPACKS will be allowed in The FairTM on field trips. NO STROLLERS allowed.

Elementary Grades 4 and 5:
April 9, 2010 (ALL Regions)
9:00 am - 1:00 pm

ALL MIDWAY RIDES, EXCEPT KIDDIELAND ARE IN OPERATION. ENTERTAINMENT SHOWPLACES ARE CLOSED. (No private cars allowed in park) For safety reasons, NO BACKPACKS will be allowed in The FairTM on field trips. NO STROLLERS allowed.

Middle School Grades 6 - 8:
April 7, 2010 (Regions I, II, V)
April 8, 2010 (Regions III, IV)
9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Exceptional Students (Those with Disabilities):
March 25, 2010 (ALL Regions)
9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Only SELECTED midway rides are in operation and run at REDUCED speeds to accommodate the various challenges of those attending. Concessions are limited. Entertainment showplaces are closed.
