Carolina Segarra
Lead Agriculture Ambassador
Being the first American born from a full-fledged Hispanic family, Carolina Segarra is one with many dreams. Dreams that one day will make her family proud and hopefully consider her a role model to her younger sister and cousins. At a very early age she realized how beautiful agriculture truly was and ever since has devoted her life to helping it grow. Her experience in FFA has allowed her many opportunities and many success stories. It has allowed her to grow into a mature young woman, ready to make a difference in people’s lives. With this Ambassador program she hopes to be able to represent her county and meet new people from all over the nation. She also hopes it will bring her one step closer to her dream career as a large animal veterinarian. Her ultimate goal is to be part of the new Agriculture Ambassador team and help make a positive beneficial difference in the lives of others.

Jayne Careaga
Secretary Agriculture Ambassador
Jayne Careaga, 15, is enrolled in the Animal Science Program at William H. Turner Technical Arts High School. She is currently a dedicated member of the Miami Sr. FFA, in which she serves as the chapter secretary. Although, Jayne is only a sophomore she has been an active FFA member for the past 5 years. Her passion for Agriculture and the FFA first began when she joined the Doral Middle FFA Chapter. Through out the years the FFA Organization has inspired Jayne and given her the opportunity to participate in numerous amounts of activities. These include; various Officer Positions, Conferences, Leadership Training’s, Conventions, and Career Development Events at the state level. She has mainly excelled in Public Speaking and Parliamentary Procedure, as well as receiving the Star Chapter Greenhand award from her chapter. Jayne also enjoys exhibiting livestock, which has deepened her profound love for the Agriculture Industry. She has a true admiration for her advisors and those who stress the importance of Urban Agriculture and would like to follow in there foot steps. Jayne would like to make that long lasting impact and those unforgettable memories by serving as a 2007-2008 Agricultural Ambassador for the Miami-Dade County Fair & Exposition.

Ashley Bartow
Reporter Agriculture Ambassador
Ashley Bartow, 16, a Junior from Robert Morgan Educational Center and is currently enrolled in their veterinary program. She is a member of the Robert Morgan FFA chapter. Ashley is an active Girl Scout member and received the highest award in Girl Scouting the “Gold Award”. Ashley is currently in Venture Scouts and is on her second term as crew President. She is an avid Sailor and received her Captain, which is the highest level in her sailing club. She has a passion for protecting and caring for animals and the environment. She is a certified trainer in Leave No Trace, which is to educate people in learning how to protect the environment when in the outdoors.

Caroline Ramos
Treasurer Agriculture Ambassador
Caroline Ramos is currently in the Agriscience and Engineering Academy at Coral Reef Senior High School. She is extremely active in the Coral Reef FFA and is currently the President of the Junior Chapter. Even though this is her first year in FFA, Caroline is already the Sub-District 1 Chair in District 12. She is also part of Coral Reef's Parliamentary Procedures team, which recently won Districts and will compete at the Florida FFA State Convention this June. In addition to being a part of FFA, Caroline is also a member of the Ecology Club, which plans many local clean-ups and charity drives as well as school events to help students realize the importance of the environment, such as Earth Day Awareness. Caroline feels that her biggest accomplishment so far has been being selected as a candidate for the esteemed Agricultural Ambassador Program at the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition. She hopes that this program will help her enlighten her community about the importance of agriculture as well as open many agricultural doors of opportunity for South Floridians. Caroline’s other interests include: soccer, reading, recycling, photography and tutoring.

Branden Jones
Public Relations Agriculture Ambassador
Branden Jones is a16 year old boy who attends William H Turner Technical Arts High School. Branden is for the most part very musically inclined. For example, Branden plays all types of instruments such as the piano, the drums, and now starting the guitar. Branden is the fourth oldest child out of nine. Branden is a very willing to do person. If he can he will. Branden has a great heart for helping others in need as well as animals. Branden plans to finish high school and further his education, by attending the University Of Florida. There he will get his masters in animal science. After that he plans to be an agricultural teacher and raise cattle. Last but not least Branden has a great passion for the FFA club and now plans to be an ambassador for the Miami chapter.
